Christmas Powder Room & Hutch

Hey! I cannot believe Christmas is in 4 days!! I am still trying to catch up posting so I am combining the bathroom and hutch today. I have two more rooms to show you after this. Are you all ready for Christmas? I'm not LOL I will be tomorrow!

I didn't add a lot of decor to the bathroom since it is very small, but I wanted to add some to feel Christmas-y. I added some garland above the mirror with leopard bows and gold and red ornaments.

I added a small tree from Michael's.

Now on to the hutch. I didn't go crazy on here either, it just seemed that time got away from me and I didn't feel like adding anymore. I definitely need to start earlier next year and decorate faster.

I added a small tree to the top of the hutch. I made this last year.

I added some red chargers and Christmas plates that I had. The little nutcrackers are place holders and then just added a Christmas mug.

Lastly I wanted to show you another little tree that I put up. This is attached to the front living room so I kept the same color scheme going.

Up close of the tree.

Well, that's it for today guys! I will be back tomorrow with another post.

Have a great day!

***Christmas Living Room***

Welcome to my front Living Room. I didn't go crazy with decorations in here as the foyer is pretty decked out  Join me for a tour! I wont comment a lot since there are a lot of pictures.

I rearranged the furniture since the last time I showed this room I like this setup better.

I added garland, gold mesh, ornaments, picks and bows to the mirror.

Awhile back I showed you this idea instead of putting candles on the the candle sconces I put vases. I put glittery stems and poinsettia's in them. I think they turned out really pretty!

I had to use the flash to get a picture of this. That window brings in so much light that it just appears dark or really white. This is the vignette above the TV.

I added ribbon and a cross embellishment to the candles and then placed a berry candle ring around it.

I made this tassel last year.

This is our Christmas card of Jackson's first Christmas he was 3 months. Aww little sleeping Santa.

Well that's it for today guys! I will be back quite often this week showing you the rest of the decorating I did in the house. I know I have been slacking at showing you what I have done, but I will show it to you by Christmas! I cannot believe it is a week away! Crazy how time flies.

***Christmas Foyer 2011***

Hey! Today I want to share with you all my foyer all dressed for Christmas. These pictures aren't the greatest, it has been raining the last two days! It is a nice change though, it actually feels like winter.

Here is the foyer table, I always have the topiary and candlestick on this table, so I added a Santa in a sleigh, reindeer,  a fleur de lis finial and two tea light holders.

Here is a better look at the Santa and the reindeer. I have had the sleigh for a few years, I bought it at Michael's. I got the reindeer at Kohl's last year and I got the Santa from Michael's this year. I just added some left over garland I had with some picks and a ornament.

Here is a close up of the Santa, I think he has the sweetest face! :)

I added a mosaic candle and ornament candle garland to the candlestick.

I swagged garland on the staircase. I think it turned out pretty. I ran out of this smaller gold mesh, so I added some of the red mesh I used on my tree as a bow at the top.

Here is a close up of the garland. I just wove the mesh through the garland and secured it with one of the branches, then I added leopard print ribbon and ornaments.

Here is my other table that I have in the foyer. I added the two candlesticks with gold cross candles and ornaments tucked into the chest.

I added this reindeer tassel that I have for sale in my etsy store to the cross.

Here is a close up of the table.

I added this wreath to the mirror by hanging it on a command hook. Love those! You can see the reflection of my tree in the background.

I got this cute plate set at Kirkland's a few years ago.

I have two candle holders hanging on each side of the wall as you walk into the front living room. I added the fleur de lis tassels that are for sale in my etsy shop and a fleur de lis ball instead of a candle.

I added some garland above this picture. I hung it with a command hook also!

Above the front door there is a ledge with a window. I felt like it needed something for Christmas, so I added some presents and garland up there. I just had some different size boxes laying around in the garage so I wrapped them with some wrapping paper to coordinate with the colors and made bows for the front. This picture isn't good its really hard to get a good picture of that space, but the garland that I added to the picture in the previous picture is the same around the presents.

Here is a close up of the present. I had to stand on the ladder to take this pic!

Well that's it for today! I hope you enjoyed my Christmas Foyer. I will be back this week with more Christmas decor.

Have a great day!

***Christmas Tree***

Hey!! I have finally finished my tree today, I have been slacking! I couldn't find the mesh anywhere until I went to Michael's yesterday and they had some. I have never seen it there, so I bought a bunch just to make sure I had enough. Join me and I will take you through the process of how I decorated the tree.

Here is the tree before I have done anything to it. Last year my parents gave us this tree that they had bought the year before.

I used one roll of gold and one roll of red.

I started at the top of the tree and scrunched the mesh going down the tree and just securing it on the tree branches.

The red is appearing orange-y in these pictures but it is more of a true red.

After adding the mesh I added all of the ornaments that I wanted to put on the tree. I would love to add some more ornaments to it to make it really full, but I'm happy with the way that it turned out. Maybe I will add more next year.

Instead of doing a ribbon bow for the top I did a mesh bow. I made it the same way you would make a regular bow.

Next I added a bunch of red and gold picks in and around the mesh bow. Here is a picture of the tree all lit up.

Close up

Here is a close up of the topper. It is very whimsical and pretty!

A few years back I bought this tree skirt at Hobby Lobby. I love it! It has a muted green color in it so I added some of the same colored ornaments to the tree to tie them in together.

Here is a picture of the tree with the lights off. I have the tree on a timer, it comes on around 5 and stays on til 10. I love the warm glow it gives to the front room.

Well, I hope you enjoyed our Christmas tree! I will be back in a few days with a post of our foyer.

Have a great rest of the week!
