Fall in the Kitchen

Hi guys! I am sorry I haven't gotten this post up sooner, but our house just went up for sale, so I have been busy making sure everything is organized etc. I did some fall decorating before I knew the house was going on the market, so our realtor told me to leave it up. I wanted to share the kitchen today and then I will share the rest next week. I obviously wont be doing anymore fall decorating this year, I had plans to do some more but that will have to wait until next year. Anyhow on with the pictures of the kitchen.

Here's a view as you walk into the kitchen.

I wanted to create a fall tree this year and to my surprise I had everything on hand, so this didn't cost me a dime. All I did was wrap the tree with leaf garland, tucked in some pumpkins, a owl and then added a ribbon bow to the top and shoved in leaf branches and some flowers. I think it turned out so cute! I want to do a Halloween one next year.

Here is a little vignette next to the tree.

I added a fall platter, two pumpkins, an urn and a lamp and then just tucked some greenery in the bare spots.

I added a pumpkin arrangement I threw together a few years ago, a metal pumpkin from Safeway and a grapevine pumpkin from Target's dollar section.

I added a pumpkin arrangement with greenery to the top of this stand. I use the bottom half, so I just added some pretties to the top.

I used a cake plate that I got from Hobby Lobby a few years ago and tucked in some pumpkins, grapes and wine corks.

For my pot rack I just added some leaf garland to dress it up.

Well, that's it for today! I have been taking orders for Tassels and I recently decided to start selling wreaths. I have made one so far which sold but I will attach a picture of the wreath to give you an idea. If you are interested in purchasing wreaths or tassels send me an email and I would love to make them for you!

I hope you all have a great weekend!!

***Fall Hutch 2013***

Hey guys! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! Today, I want to share my hutch with you all. I just love this time of year, my house feels so cozy. It is finally starting to cool down some here, I am so ready for cooler weather!

Here's a look at the hutch, I love how the oranges and reds pop off my black hutch.

I added a metal piece and placed an arrangement I put together in front of it along with two roosters, a finial and a candlestick with a pumpkin. I draped the same leaf garland and twig garland to the top as I did on my mantle.

I made this tassel a few years ago, I love adding them to my hutch, doors, lamps etc I just love them! I will be making some this week, so stay tuned.

To the inside I kept my Chris Madden dishes from JcPenny's and added plates and mugs from Dollar General, glittery pumpkins and wine glasses.

For the bottom I added leaves to the greenery in the wine crate, my favorite fleur de lis plate, a small lamp and a rooster pot with a deco ball.

I hope you all enjoyed my hutch. I will be sharing my Kitchen next.

Have a great week!

***Fall Mantle 2013***

Hey guys! I'm back hope you didn't forget about me! So sorry I have been gone so long! I cannot believe I haven't done a blog post since June, yikes! We have had a pretty busy summer, so now that all of our vacations are over I am ready to get back into decorating. I pulled out all of my Fall decor yesterday and have been busy creating looks. I have finished my mantle after changing it around about 5 times!

I wanted to create a different look than what I did last year. I don't have much room to work with, so I have to work with whatever can fit up there. I think this turned out nice. I put a leaf garland around the clock to make it look like a wreath. I added velvet and metal pumpkins to the center. I needed height on the sides, so I left the two topiaries there and my two finials that are always on the mantle. I placed twig garland and strung a leaf garland over the top, I like the texture the twig garland adds. To the bottom I added two candlesticks to either side, a pumpkin and a lantern.

Here are some closer pics.

I just tucked the leaf garland in around my clock.

I made this topper for my lantern out of ribbon, leaves and a big flower pic from Hobby Lobby.

I always start with the mantle and move on from there. Everything you see here cost me absolutely nothing! I had everything in my stash from previous years.

I hope you all enjoyed my mantle, I have a lot more to share. I will be sharing as I get things finished, so stay tuned! I will also be making several fall tassels if anyone is interested let me know! If you have any requests contact me via email and I will be happy to create something for you.

Enjoy the rest of your week!

New Vignettes in the Kitchen

Hey! So sorry I haven't been able to get a post up, between two little ones and trying to keep up with normal every day duties I haven't had a chance to do any new decorating around here. I also have been having an issue with my computer letting me upload my photos, so I had to take pictures with my phone and upload and try to edit online.. I hope they look okay!

I changed up all of the vignettes in the kitchen on the counter. I get bored with the same look after awhile. I usually end up liking the new look so much better, so its fun to change it up. To the island I added a Tuscan pot that I filled with greenery, a roo from Ross that I put on top of a book to give it some height and a metal tray from Ross.

I have never been happy with anything that I put on this shelf, it's definitely one of the spots that I struggle with. I am loving the way it looks now. I added a Tuscan plate from Big Lots, a roo from Hobby Lobby, an arrangment I made awhile back and two wine bottles to each end.

I removed the greenery from the pot rack, I think it looks better without it. I need to get some decorative pots to hang from it.

For this corner I added a big metal vase that I just recently bought from a friend who was moving, a glass jar and a cake stand filled with greenery, grapes and wine corks.

I really wanted to have more items grouped together rather than spread out, so I really filled this corner. I added a lamp for some height, glass jars, mr. pig, a cookbook stand, a finial and some greenery.

I grouped the canisters together rather than spreading them out along the wall.

Lastly, I added some greenery to the base of the wine bottles.

I hope you all enjoyed my new vignettes! I created some new vignettes around the house, so I will share them with you soon.

Have a great rest of the week!
