Dining Room/Family Room Tour

Today, I want to share my dining area/family room. This is the side of the house that we spend the most time in. Join me as I take you on the tour.
Here is a view of our dining area from the kitchen.

Here is a view walking in from the front living room.

I placed a small table in the corner with a faux plant, our Ipod deck and fleur de lis plates.

Another view from the couch, I would really love to change out the light fixture, but I need to convince my husband of that one lol.

I placed a scrunched up runner, an arrangement I made and two fleur de lis candlesticks with candles to the center of the table.

Here is a view of my hutch. If you are new to my blog you can search to see what this hutch used to look like before I painted it black and added the iron to the doors.

I placed a scrunched up runner along with greenery in a wine crate, a fleur de lis plaque and two finials.

For the inside I added my red chris madden dishes, wine bottles, decorative plates, finials and wine glasses.

For the top I added three fleur de lis vases to the center, I put them on top of a book box to give it height. I also added finials and greenery.

Here is a view of our family room. I would love to get a new sectional, but this one works well with the kids still being little they are constantly spilling something!

Here are a couple different views of the couch area.

For this wall I added two tuscan pictures with candle sconces on either side, a iron piece above, a metal shelf, roosters and a arrangement.

I added this iron piece above our TV I think it frames it nicely.

We have this ottoman for toys, I hung the fleur de lis iron peice above. I love fleur de lis can you tell? :)

I added two valances above this window along with a iron piece. I wanted to add panels but we have a doggy door that clips into the sliding glass door and it wouldn't have worked, so this will have to do.

I added my leopard lamp with a tassel, three candle holders and this trunk which I store diapers in.

I hope you enjoyed my dining area/family room tour! I will be back soon with another decorating post. I have decided to start a cake/ party planning business called Tickle Your Cake Buds I would love for you to follow me there too! tickleyourcakebuds.blogspot.com or like me on FB at https://www.facebook.com/tickleyourcakebuds

Kitchen Tour

Today, I am going to share my Kitchen. This is definitely not my dream kitchen, but when you rent there's not much you can do to change that, so I will try and make the best of it in the meantime. The kitchen was one of our biggest adjustments, in our last house the kitchen was HUGE and I loved it. I think we have finally adjusted to this kitchen. I tried to not clutter it too much, but I love accessories!! :) You all know I love the Tuscan vibe and I think I nailed it pretty good in here!

Here is a view from our dining area, the vaulted ceilings really help this not feel so small.

I do love how you can see what's up above my cabinets better though. Everything you see here was purchased from Ross, Big lots or Kirklands.

Here are some up close pictures.

I want to get some faux bread loaves to put in this tin bucket.

I added candlesticks with glass fleur de lis orbs, wine pictures, roosters and greenery to this side.

There are two ways to enter the kitchen, this is the entrance off of the hallway.

I was a bit iffy about not having matching rugs, but I think they work since they have the same colors.

I added a fleur de lis plate, a plaque, a rooster urn filled with wine corks and a greenery arrangement.

I use the bottom area of this metal fruit holder, but I wanted to decorate the top half. The canisters are from Kirkland's.

I added artichokes, grapes, apples, greenery and corks.

I added two canisters and a topiary to this area next to the sink.

For above the fridge, I added a coffee plaque from Big Lots, a metal tray and a metal basket with a topiary inside.

Here is the view from our living room. I used the bar stools from my pub table that used to be in our front room in the old house. They are the perfect height.

I displayed used wine bottles in this wine holder and added some greenery.

I added my big clock above our pantry you can see it great from the living room.

I hope you enjoyed my kitchen, I will be sharing our main living room next.

Happy Valentines Day!!

Have a great weekend!

Front Living Room Tour

Hey guys!! I am so sorry I haven't done a blog post in what seems like forever! I have been so busy with the move, holidays and just everyday life. It seems as though its taking me forever to get this house finished, but I have finally finished this room, so now I am ready to show it to you all.

Let me start off by saying I have had a bit of a challenge, we went from a 3000 sqft house to a 1700 sqft house, so at first we were culture shocked big time, but I think we are finally adjusting to it. Okay on with the pictures! I won't do much talking it's all about the pictures anyway!!

Here is the view as you enter the front door. I am LOVING all of this tile with having little ones around and pets it makes it so much easier to keep clean and looking nice. I am wanting to find a rug to go under the ottoman.

This house has vaulted ceilings, so it makes you feel like it isn't so small.

I kept a lot of the things the same as the old house, like these candle holders with a flower arrangement on top. I just love this look!

I took a couple valances that I had hanging up in the old house and scrunched them up on top of the ottoman.

I had to keep my bakers rack out here there was no where else it would fit.

Here's a couple close ups.

I used the curtains that were behind my table in the old house in here.

I really wanted to keep this piano, so I made it work by angling it in this corner.

I added some lamps, candlesticks with garden balls on top, finials, urns and of course greenery.

Here's some close ups.

Here are some pictures of the desk.

I hope you enjoyed my front living room tour! I will be sharing my kitchen area next. I hope you all have a great week!! See you soon!!!
