A Birthday Party

I am going to share with you some pictures of my son Jackson's first birthday party decor that I created. The theme was Sesame Street so I took that idea and ran with it. Below are the banner's that I made on my Cricut.

I made this cute picture display. I saw the idea on I heart naptime w/ chocolate sundaes.

Here is the birthday boy. My sister and I made his hat and shirt. For the shirt we cut out the 1 and used heat and bond to attach it to the shirt and then used iron on letters for his name.We just used a Oscar the grouch sticker and hot glued it on the shirt. As for the hat we took just a regular party hat and used a piece of fabric with the iron on letters already ironed on there and wrapped it around the hat and secured it with hot glue, and then just added the little pom pom's with hot glue as well.

Here is a picture of his cake. A friend of mine makes custom cakes and does an awesome job! Check out their blog at Batter Up Custom Cakes. For the cake and cupcake stand I just used boxes and wrapped them with wrapping paper and added ribbon to dress them up.

Here is a close up of the cupcakes, are they not just the cutest things!

We had a Sweets & Treats table with all kinds of goodies you can think of.

Jackson wasn't too sure about the cake.

We tried cupcakes that I made the next day and as you can tell he was in love!

Thank you for stopping by I hope that you enjoyed your visit! I will be posting some home decor in my next post be sure to check it out! Have a great day!!
