What do you use?

Hey guys! I hope you all enjoyed  your weekend. As you all know I have a 1 and a half year old who is messy, messy, messy, but I wouldn't have it any other way. What products or tools do you use to clean your home? Our whole downstairs is tile, which is nice for not getting stains, but it is a PAIN to keep up with all of spills, crumbs, dirt, etc.
For quick clean ups I use my handy dandy dust buster. I love this thing it cleans up so good! Anytime Jackson eats things that are really crumbly I just get this bad boy out and vacuum it all up.

Here is my other best friend my Dirt Devil stick vacuum you can find these at Target or Walmart for around 20 bucks and they work really good. I use this to vacuum everywhere before I mop.

Here is my AWESOME mop! I love the shark mop, it works really good at getting the floors really clean and only cleans with steam, which is good when you have a baby. You don't want all those chemicals going into their mouths. ICK I was hesitant at first with the mop, but its amazing to see what the pad looks like after you mop. It's disgusting actually! I mop once a week and I am amazed at how dirty our floor is after I look at that pad. EWWWW! Makes me wanna mop more. Best part about this mop is, after you are done you wash the pads in your washer.

Have you guys ever tried Windex's brand of cleaners? I love the Antibacterial & the Vinegar ones. I use them both in the kitchen and bathrooms. They clean really good and leave everything shiny.

I use Pledge multi surface cleaner for all of my dusting. I love the lavender scent it smells like men's cologne. It works really well on stainless steel too!

I try and keep on a schedule with my cleaning, sometimes it doesn't always work out, but most of the time I stay pretty consistent. So, what do you guys use to clean your home? I would love to hear any tips or tricks you have when it comes to cleaning.

Have a great weekend!!

Hi Allyson, I love your post. Cleaning posts and products others use are some of my favorite! I use multisurface Pledge and Windex but wasn;t aware of combination with vineger. I use a Wet Jet swifter on our hardwoods and in my foyer and kitchen I have dark Pergo flooring. I also use Plege lemon for dusting my furniture and regular Windex. I like Lysol wipes amd Shower Tilex in the bathrooms and different Scrubbing Bubbles, I also like Mrs. Meyers countertop spray to wipe down surfaces after they have been cleaned to smell great! Thanks for your ideas. Do you know if the Shark floor cleaner is for laminates?Emelia :)

I'm trying to limit what I use but I have some "musts", windex, vinegar, bleach and of course the old fashion cleaner Ajax....My Mom's favorite!

I have the stick vacuum for my hardwood floors and I love it for getting up all the crumbs, dust and dog hair.

For cleaning surfaces, I use the Clorox Greenworks and I love the smell. I will have to check out that brand of Pledge that you use!

Janie

I just got a steam mop last week. I used it once and love it! I also have a DYSON for the carpeting in the house and I LOVE THAT too!

Love my steam mop, too! It's absolutely amazing how well it works with just water. I try to stick with vinegar & water, and a microfiber cloth for most of my cleaning. I buy my microfiber cleaning cloths in bulk in the automotive section of the store.

I've never seen that Pledge stuff. I'll have to pick some up.

Looks like we use just about all of the same products. I find that the clear windex works better than the yellow one - it doesn't streak. I loved my shark, but broke 2 of them.
Have a great week!

I use a steam mop too! It really works great! I clean a lot of the surfaces in my home with rubbing alcohol.

A great all around cleaner for glass, kitchen appliances, and countertops can be made at home. Mix 1/4 cup of ammonia,2 Tbl.of vineager (white distilled) into a plastic spray bottle with about 30 ounces of warm water and shake well. I keep this available for all types of cleaning. It makes everything shine without streaking or residue !!

Ally I love to clean if you can believe that. I'm an oraganizing, cleaning fool in our home. Ha! In fact today is a deep cleaning day for me. Just in time for a new month. Yay!

You gave me some good ideas with these products. Thank you for sharing them all.

Warmly, ~Melissa
