Hey guys! I hope you all are having a great day!! I am back with some much need opinions :). In my post yesterday, I asked for your advice on slipcovers for my dining room table. Today I am asking for opinions on window treatment ideas. There is a bay window where the table sits in front of, I am trying to decide which way to go with window treatments. I cannot decide if I want to just do valances, valances and panels or just panels. Here are some ideas I have found. Let me know your thoughts.
I really like the look of the valances and panels, adds something different to the space. I appreciate all of your suggestions and opinions.
Have a great day!!

I love the valances you are showing, and perhaps with the panels it may really pop. I think it depends on the fabric you choose for the valances.
I really like the panels like in picture two but it might be because it's in a bedroom and all white and simple like lol...soo other than that I would say both panel and valance :).

I like the panels and the valance together! good luck with your decision.
I really like either the panels and valances, or just the panels. I'm not big on valances alone. Can't wait to see pics!!!
I am with you! I like the valances and panels too! It is different and new and you can always swap it all around if you tire of it by just going with panels or valances. It's a win, win!
I love the first one, but depending on what the view is, I might like it just naked. I hate covering up a view.
I love all three pictures..tough decision one that I too am trying to decide about and love the pictures you have found to compare
I love the panels and valances...it gives you a bit more privacy if you need it. I am trying to figure out the same thing for my bay window. Picking out the fabric is the hardest!

Jane
I like the panels with valances or just the panels. NOt a fan of just the valances.
having the panels might give you the option of privacy should you want it.
I say just panels. But I'm sure it will look lovely no matter what you decide. Have a great weekend!

I have a bay window that I am having trouble with. I have wood blinds on them now, I just may add panels. I like the middle picture. I'm not a big fan of valances alone either.
Plantation shutters or wooden blinds. You can wash them easily (I am the wrong person to ask because we have so many asthmatics in the house)! :D
I just love that bedroom. It is so serene and fresh looking in shades of neutrals!
I really love the first picture - oh those panels and shades are beautiful! I also like just the shades. You have a way of making everything in your home beautiful, so anything you choose will look great!
Hi Allyson! Will this be for your new home? Bay windows are the hardest for me to figure out. In my home I went with something similar to the first photo. My bay window is in the living room.
Will they be for a dining room or a kitchen nook/eating area? I like the first photo for a dining room. I prefer just the valances if it is in a kitchen nook area. All three are very nice, though. If you choose panels and valances you can always alternate them if you get bored!
have a nice evening~ L
Love all the pictures, but my preference is the 1st picture, absolutely love that look!
XOXO ~Liz
I love the first pic Ally! :)
My favorite is pic #1. I think the fabrics would make it a stunning area. Good luck in choosing!

They are all nice.
I think it realy depends on the space you have for it. I like valances, but most people are not using them very much these days.
(P.S. Those are actually roman shades not valances)
Hi Allyson, I love look one and then number 3. But you also have to find the material or patterns, florals or jaquard look and budget to decide. I think window treatments are hard to decide since theres are so many styles today to choose from. Bed Bath abd Beyond, WalMart Better Homes and Gardens and Target are all great places. Much success! Emelia.
Hello! Thanks so much for your sweet comments! I LOVE the pattern in pic #1, but I love the long panels in pic #2!

LOVE the first picture!! Maybe it's because I have Roman Shades & panels on my living room windows! I also like the look of just the panels in the second pic but the first one is definitely my fave!
I too love the first look. I am struggling with the same problem in my kitchen so this was a perfect post for me to see! Let us know what you decide.
Donna
I think the first one rocks but in the end it's what you see in your mind's eye. Which ever way you go it will be fabbbb. The rest of your home say's so. (beautiful) Thanks for posting.
